Ms. Liza Medek is a professional Architect and has practiced architecture in Canada and Europe. She received her B Sc Arch, B Arch and M Arch (post-professional) from McGill University and has been published. She holds a Secret Clearance Level II with the Government of Canada and is a Fellow of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC).

Some of her previous appointments include: Director and Mentor/Guest Critic of the RAIC Syllabus; Associate Research Professor at Carleton University; Professor at Algonquin College; President of the Building Envelope Council Ottawa Region; Chair of the Ottawa Regional Society of Architects; Assessment Committee Member on the Canadian Architectural Certification Board; Industrial Technology Advisor at the National Research Council Canada; Advisory Council Member on the City of Ottawa, Doors Open; Chair and Member of the Ontario Association of Architect’s Honours and Awards Committee.

Ms. Medek is an Executive in Residence with the Canadian Advanced Technology Alliance and the Canadian Women in Technology, as well as an Associate at the Collaborative Centre for Justice and Safety (Canadian Criminal Justice Association) at the University of Regina. She is CIMA+’s Senior Project Leader at the Parliamentary Precinct Branch.
